We offer a range of services including; Our ‘real life’ puppy and training classes, One to One training sessions at your home, Dog walking and training sessions and ‘Agility for fun’ activities.

Based in Maidstone, we work in the surrounding areas to help people to understand and enjoy their dogs and experience the real benefits of dog ownership.

Sam and Dave have supported people with raising, training and caring for dogs, for over 37 years.

Having had long careers in training and raising guide dogs, they really understand the special role dogs play in our lives. They can help you manage and modify any behaviour your dog is showing.

  • Sam Grice is a professional dog trainer with over 35 years experience. She has worked with Guide Dogs for the Blind in the fields of dog care and welfare, puppy development and socialising, basic and advanced guide dog training, client training, staff development and coaching.

    Further consultancy work in these fields provided experience with a wide range of dog breeds, ages, behaviours and training for working and non working tasks.

    Twenty years ago, Sam established ‘Dog Behavioural Services’ to focus on supporting people with their pet dogs and dealing with the day to day realities of living with and developing positive dog and human relationships. In addition she continues to support more complex training needs & behaviour issues with a wide variety of individuals in a host of contexts. Sam is an accomplished puppy and dog trainer with unrivalled experience.

  • After a 35 year career at Guide Dogs for the Blind Dave is now working with Sam to support dogs and their owners to have happy lives together.

    Dave's career has helped him develop his understanding and skills in relation to dog health and wellbeing, dog training, people coaching and the development of the human - animal relationships. He has worked in roles including; dog care technician, guide dog trainer, guide dog mobility instructor, Head of Canine Research and finally as the Head of Dog Training and Behaviour, where he and his team revolutionised how guide dog puppies are raised and trained via the use of positive reinforcement techniques. Dave has presented internationally to the industry on subjects such as, puppy development, assessing and improving dog welfare and ethical dog training approaches and methods.
